Camelus Dromedarius Hateful and razor sharp death metal with black metal elements. Everything is well done and I'm pretty impressed for the most part. The syncopation on "Thrive in Upheaval" along with the groovy bassline about halfway through are the high point of the album for me. Looking forward to more from Taphos. Favorite track: Thrive In Upheaval.

fogshaper Fast, filthy, raw, aggressive, on point. No bullshit, no frills, no gimmicks. Just pure fucking annihilation and I love every single second of it. Favorite track: Impending Peril.

Odiumediae This album is the best Death Metal album I've got into my grimy fingers this year so far. I saw Taphos at the Brutal Assault 2019, and instantly liked their sound. All the want-to-haves are there: razor sharp guitar sound, punchy drums, pounding bass, evil sounding riffs and hateful vocals – every song is catchy, but no boredom comes creeping in. A few times I felt pleasantly reminded of Incantation, Asphyx and Illdisposed, yet there are lots and lots of individual trademarks. Support this band! Favorite track: Thrive In Upheaval.
